HA GIANG LOOP TOUR

STORY OF VALOR

Valor Ha Giang Loop is not just a tour. It’s a journey shaped by people who belong to this land.

We were born here. We grew up on these roads. Every mountain pass, every village, every quiet turn along the way carries a story we know not from maps, but from life itself.

This is what makes the experience different.

At Valor, we travel in small groups. Never crowded, never rushed.
No long convoys. No scripted stops. No feeling of being just another traveler in line.

Instead, we ride together. At the same pace, on equal ground.
Your guide is not just leading the way, but sharing it with you.

Every journey is shaped by genuine connection, deep respect for local culture, and a quiet intention: to leave you with something that stays long after the road ends.

And while the landscapes may feel wild and challenging, you are always held in safe hands guided by Valor’s experienced local team, who carry both the knowledge of the mountains and the responsibility of your journey.

FAQ ABOUT THE HA GIANG LOOP TOURS

    • Starting from Ha Giang City, this legendary loop takes you deep into the mountains, passing through Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, Meo Vac, and Du Gia before returning full circle. As you leave the city behind, the landscapes quickly transform - roads become quieter, mountains grow more dramatic, and the feeling of remoteness becomes real. Meo Vac marks the furthest point of this journey - a place where the mountains feel endless and time slows down. This route, located on the eastern side of Ha Giang, is what most people refer to as “The Famous Ha Giang Loop.” At Valor, we focus on this experience.
    • Our Ha Giang Loop experience is designed to start right in Ha Giang City, where we’ll pick you up directly from your hotel and drop you off there after the tour. If you have a different pickup point in Ha Giang, just let us know - we’re flexible and happy to arrange what works best for you. Coming from elsewhere? No problem. Whether you’re traveling from Hanoi, Ha Long, Sapa, Cat Ba, or other destinations, we can organize smooth transfers (sleeper buses, VIP buses, or private cars) to get you to Ha Giang in time for the tour. After the loop, we can also help you continue your journey - either back to Hanoi or onward to other destinations—by bus or private car, depending on your travel plans. 👉 Wherever you’re coming from, we make sure your journey connects seamlessly.
    • YES. Our experiences are designed to be all - inclusive, so you can focus fully on the journey. Meals are fully covered. Food is a big part of traveling in Vietnam, and we make sure you get to enjoy it properly—local, fresh, and shared together as part of the experience. If you have any dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, allergies, or specific preferences), just let us know in advance, we’ll take care of it.
    • To legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam, you must have: A national motorcycle license An International Driving Permit (IDP) under the 1968 Vienna Convention A valid motorbike (motorcycle) endorsement on your IDP 👉 IDPs from the 1949 Convention are not accepted 👉 If your IDP does not include a motorbike license, you cannot ride
    • At Valor, where you stay is just as important as where you go. Our accommodations are carefully selected based on three core values: authenticity, nature, and community. Night 1: A cozy wooden & stone house — private, quiet, and perfect for resting after the journey. Night 2: A refined, locally built hotel, comfortable, elegant, and operated by local families. Final Night: A clay bungalow with a private bathroom warm, well-equipped, and rich in local character This is more than just a place to stay, it’s a connection. You’ll share meals with your hosts, sit together around a communal table, and experience genuine local hospitality. Evenings often end with stories, laughter, and a few shots of traditional corn or rice wine ,what we call “happy water.” Meals are simple but full of flavor: rice, fresh vegetables, local meats (usually pork or chicken), and sometimes eggs straight from the garden.
    • Yes, technically the loop can be done in 1, 2 days. But that’s not the experience we believe in. This is not a race. To truly enjoy Ha Giang with time to rest, take photos, explore villages, and actually feel the place, you should allow at least 4 days. We also offer a 3-day version for those with limited time, but it’s faster and more intense. At Valor, we design the journey to be comfortable, immersive, and meaningful, not rushed.
    • Ha Giang is a mountainous region, and the weather here has its own personality. In summer, temperatures can reach up to 40°C. In winter, it can drop to around 0°C in higher areas. But more importantly - weather changes fast. You might experience sunshine, rain, and cold all in a single day. That’s part of the adventure. We will design your itinerary based on the weather so you can experience the most beautiful landscapes.
    • Honestly there’s no single “best” time. Ha Giang is beautiful all year round. April to October (warm season): Perfect for motorbiking, vibrant landscapes, and clearer skies. It’s also the busier season. November to March (cold season): Quieter, more peaceful, and deeply atmospheric. Misty mountains, slower pace, and a more authentic feeling of Northern Vietnam. If you’re chasing the famous golden rice terraces, the best time is from mid-September to mid-October especially in Hoang Su Phi.
    • Absolutely. In fact, many of our guests travel solo. At Valor, all of our tours are designed as small-group experiences (unless you choose a private trip), with a maximum of 6 guests per group. This isn’t by chance - it’s by design. We keep our groups small so we can: Give real attention to each guest Maintain a safe and smooth riding pace Create a more personal and connected atmosphere With a smaller group, it’s easy to connect, share moments, and enjoy the journey without the chaos of large tours. If you’re traveling solo, you won’t feel alone. You’ll feel part of a small, well, connected journey.
    • YES. Absolutely. Riding by motorbike is part of everyday life in Vietnam. It’s how locals move, grow up. At Valor, your safety comes first. We provide experienced local drivers, well-maintained bikes, and proper safety gear for every guest. Our small-group approach also means we ride at a controlled pace, with constant attention to each individual. More importantly, this is a you-centered journey. If you want to stop for photos, take in the view, or simply pause and breathe in the mountains, just say the word. We move with you, not against you.
    • You’re welcome to store your luggage safely at our office in Ha Giang. Just let us know in your booking form so we can arrange it in advance. If your journey starts and ends in Hanoi, most hotels are also happy to hold your bags for you free of charge while you’re away.
    • We keep our groups intentionally small. Typically 1 to 6 travelers. Even if you’re traveling solo, we will still run the tour with no change in price. This allows for a more personal and flexible experience, without long convoys or crowded stops. You move at your own pace, connect more deeply with your guide, and experience Ha Giang in a quieter, more authentic way.
